Terms & Conditions

Please take the time to read through all of the terms and conditions below as they form the basis of a contract between Vanilla By Abby and the customer. Payment of your booking fee or full balance will signify your acceptance of these terms and conditions.

1. All of the Vanilla By Abby cakes and treats are baked in an environment that handles eggs, dairy, nuts, wheat and gluten. Even if your order is vegan, egg-free, dairy-free or gluten-free there is always a small chance that they may contain trace amounts of these products. Therefore it is your responsibility to inform your guests/family/friends etc not to eat the cake and/or treats if a severe allergy is known.

2. Quotes for cakes and treats are valid for 30 days from the date they were given and may change after this time.

3. A non-refundable booking fee of £100 is required for all wedding orders and a non-refundable booking fee of £20 is required for all celebration cakes. Cupcakes, cookies, brownies and blondies are to be paid in full upon ordering. If you choose to cancel for any reason, the booking fee will not be returned to you.

4. Your booking fee is non-refundable and covers things such as; consultations, cake samples, design sketches, any admin, materials and equipment purchased. However in the unlikely event that we have to cancel, you will be fully refunded.

5. The remaining balance of your wedding or celebration cake order is due no later than 1 month prior to your delivery date.

6. All payments must be made via bank transfer.

7. Often cakes will include necessary non-edible items such as internal supports. You will be informed of what these are prior to delivery. It is therefore your responsibility to remove these before serving.

8. For weddings and other occasions during the summer months of May - September, please be advised that naked, semi-naked and buttercream cakes may not always be practical for the warmer weather. Vanilla By Abby cannot accept responsibility for melting cakes once they have been delivered as we have no control over the weather, environment or temperature of the venue. However there are so many beautiful options for summer time cakes so please feel free to contact us if you have any concerns ordering your cake for this time of the year.

9. We prefer to hand deliver all of our cakes, therefore delivery and set up (when necessary) is free within a 10 mile radius of       BH24 2BT. For deliveries out of this area, delivery charges will be calculated before ordering.

10. All of our cakes and treats are made with the intention of being eaten on the day of delivery. All cakes should be stored on a secure, flat surface in a cool, dry room away from any heat sources. Do not place your cake in direct sunlight and we do not recommend putting your cake in the fridge unless instructed to by us.
